昨年末、通販雑誌、hacoから「軍手」のデザインをして貰いたい、とのオファーが友人を通じて有りました。
打ち合せ時に「軍手じゃなくて軍足が欲しい」「僕にとって軍手は本気で使うものだから、5分で真っ黒になるものだから」というリーの要望を

なんともこちらが驚くくらいにスムーズに、快く、引き受けて頂き、
この度無事、発売となっています。

今回Leeがhacoの為に考えたデザインコンセプトは「大地と太陽。それにはさまれた僕ら」
ちょっぴりメルヘンチック？

大地を黒で、お日様を白で表現し、ボーダーに。

五本指ソックスの指裏部分にはそれぞれ

T、H、A、N、X 　E、A、R、T、H

「サンクスアース」とプリント。
このプリントがラバーなので、滑り止めの役目を果たし、グリップ感が良い！

誌面には「スケボーをやり易いように、グリップを良くした」といった一節もありますが、
Leeの大好きな農作物を育てる作業にもなんとも最適なのです。

汗を吸い取るし、thanks earthだし、ロング丈だから虫にさされにくいしね。

一足買うごとに200円がPEACE BY PEACE コットン基金に寄付され、
インドの植物の栽培で弱った土壌回復に当てられるそう。

ALCの得意分野の「デザイン」という作業をする事で、どこかの誰かが（何かが）助かるの、喜ぶの、ってステキ。
それが「仕」「事」、、、、

人に　　　　　仕える　　　　事　　かもね！

仕事の仕は、尊敬に値する、という意味を持つ「士」という文字が含まれるのも興味深〜。

alex the designer of Alexander Lee Chang had designed 5 finger socks for the mag called haco.

there're [GUNTE] which's glove for workers.
they wanted to us to make one of those gloves.

alex was thinking & thinkng a lot.
bcz he thought that wearing fancy gloves doesn't feel fit for himself.

and then!

the idea of him was just come up!
he found out that he dosen't wanna make any gloves, but socks!!!

the consept was [ground and the sun!]

he chose black and white for the color. and there re letter

T H A N X E A R TH

on each finger part.

YES! exactly 10 letters perfectly suitanble for 10 fingers!!!

he used rubber material for those letters in order to avoid slipping, he wanted to make it as much as long. to look nice when u wear it with open toe shoes, and it can be useful to avoid mosquitos.

its perfect for skaters right?

from the retail price 200JPY will be donate for [ peace by peace cotton project] which is an organization to make the India's land (cotton growing area) better condition.

Alex the designer really likes [ designing], this action can be cause of someone's ( something's) happy,

that's just wonderful.
